Instructions for a Wonderful, Fulfilling Life

My mom sent this to me. And even though I hate forwards from her... this one is actually a great one.

1 Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

2 Memorize your favorite poem.

3Don’t believe all you hear, spend all you have, or sleep all you want.

4 When you say, “I love you”, mean it.

5 When you say, “I’m sorry”, look the person in the eye.

6 Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

7 Believe in love at first sight.

8 Never laugh at anyone’s dreams.

9 Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it’s the only way to live life completely.

10 In disagreements, fight fairly. No name-calling.

11 Don’t judge people by their relatives.

12 Talk slowly but think quickly.

13 When someone asks you a question you don’t want to answer, smile and ask, “Why do you want to know?”

14 Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

15 Call your mom.

16 Say “bless you” when you hear someone sneeze.

17 When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

18 Remember the three R’s: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for all your actions.

19 Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

20 When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

21 Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

22 Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, conversational skills will be as important as any other.

23 Spend some time alone.

24 Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.

25 Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

26 Read more books and watch less TV.

27 Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll get to enjoy it a second time.

28 Trust in God but lock your car.

29 A loving atmosphere in your home is so important. Do all you can to create a tranquil harmonious home.

30 In disagreements with loved ones, deal with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.

31 Read between the lines.

32 Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality.

33 Be gentle with the earth.

34 Pray. There’s immeasurable power in it.

35 Never interrupt when you are being flattered.

36 Mind your own business.

37 Don’t trust a man/woman who doesn’t close his/her eyes when you kiss.

38 Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.

39 If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are living. That is wealth’s greatest satisfaction.

40 Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a stroke of luck.

41 Learn the rules then break some.

42 Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each other is greater than your need for each other.

43 Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

44 Remember that your character is your destiny.

45 Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

Day by day, what you do is what you become…

Sam Wheat and Miss Vida Boheme

So the movie industry lost another great yesterday.
Patrick Swayze.
What an actor.
He was known for his Dirty Dancing, being an Outsider and a great Ghost.
But by far my favorite Patrick Swayze movie is To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar.
In an early blog I talked about this movie and how Mr Swayze and Wesley Snipes where drag queens.
I love this show. It is one of my favorites.
Im trying to get a video clip of some funny moments but blogger isnt cooperating very much!

One of my favorite lines from Ghost is when either him or Demi Moore says "I love you" the other one always replied "Ditto" I dont know I have always loved that.

This clip is also one of my favorites. Its an SNL skit he did with Chris Farley. Pretty funny.

He has been in some pretty unforgettable movies. So without a doubt he will be remembered.

Also on a different note I now have a Flickr account where I have put some of my photos I have taken. So if you want to check it out go on ahead...

Montana...... Bingo!

So once upon a time we were at the senior citizen center up in Montana, where we go at least one day cause my Grandma Joan is like in charge of the whole thing, playing bingo. My dad had been messing with Kars bingo board covering certain numbers over when they werent being called. So Karlee in return covered B 4 but later they called that number so it wasnt that big of deal. Then she covered B 10. Well even later dad only had "one" left, so he was getting all excited and doing the telepathy thing "O 68" well the dude called it and dad got sooo HAPPY! But me and Kar were laughing sooo hard and crying and we were trying to get him not to say it but he said BINGO! Which made us laugh even harder! So the lady checked it but was like "Um he didnt call B 10" Holy crap dad got so sad, but was laughing and even said that it was a good one. Oh man good times.

So every time we go up to Seeley, we always wanted to go to the LDS church up there. So finally we were like this time WE WILL! So before we realized it was Fast & Testimony weekend, we had already decided to go. We either thought this will be super boring slash awkward with like ten people ( three including us) or a really good experience hearing peoples testimonies from a really small non Mormon town. Well we get there and they dont have a chapel just a relief society room where they do the whole sha bang. So I kept thinking its okay it will be fun......

The time went by way fast! There were quite a bit of people there and never a dull moment. I mean to start of the meeting with the choir director removing her retainer out of her mouth.... I knew this meeting was going to be special.

So with about 10 minutes left I was like you know this meeting has been really really great hearing about how these people kinda function in this small town and not being over populated with Mormons. So this old gentle men gets and and he looks like a cookie old guy so I turned to Kar and said "Hes my new best friend" before he even said a word. DOUBLE U OH DOUBLE U (aka wow) He was a yeller!!! Man and as soon as he got up you could see the "regular church goers" shake their heads and started to brace themselves. HE WENT OFF ON OBAMA AND THE WHITE HOUSE AND GLENN BECK! Let me list some memorable quotes
"Get on your white horse and carry the torch of righteousness for Glenn Beck."
"Pray to give Glenn Beck super natural powers."
"The communist in the white house is going to send out spies to our homes and find out our family secrets!"
Our children are going to pay the price for these communist!"
Jiminy Crickets!
I could not look at the guy but Kar said he was staring right at us the entire time. Yikes. I started giggling and there were only like four rows of chairs so Im pretty sure he knew I was laughing but I wasnt the only one. But oh man it was the most memorable experience ever. And the worst part is that even though there were some great testimonies, they will ever more be over shadowed by the crazy Glenn Beck guy.

Best fast and testimony ever though!!!

The End

Here are some pictures from Montana

The Grandmas putting the dinosaur puzzle together... I did most of it though.
My Uncle Jims, Uncle Bobs, my dads, and Aunt Pattys tassels that are up at our cabin I though it looked like a cool picture.

The cabin.... can you spot KarLee holding something.....
