Just some Pictures

Alright this post is just going to be some random pictures.

This is a picture of my quilt!

Elder Nelson hard at work....
Merry Christmas from the Bahamas!

We also bought a new computer with a printer that has a scanner. So my dad has gone pretty crazy with uploading pictures. So here are some of my favs from back in the day!

Californ I A!

So after months of planning I finally made it to Cali! Tons of stuff went down.

I left Tuesday to go down to Ceder to spend the night at my friend Ambers house. Who is going to Cali with me. We partied there for the night. Then the next day was the drivin day. We started at a little before 8, for the 10 hour drive to Salinas. I actually drove the entire way without a problem.. never got tired. But by far the best part of the drive was that on the way to Salinas was good ol Highway 46. Where on Sept 30th, 1955 James Dean had his fatal car crash. It has been on my bucket list for the longest time. The intersection has been completely redone since his accident so it doesnt look anything like it did in 55'. But the intersection is renamed James Dean Memorial Highway. And just down the road at Cholame, Cali a Japanese billionaire made a memorial site around the "Living Tree". So I got some pictures of course. Plus there is a random cafe call Jack Ranch Cafe and inside is a ton of pictures of Jimmy Dean and just tons of stuff. I bought a light switch plate and a postcard. And we got milkshakes... not that great but thats not what matters.

Well thats basically all I can remember from the drive there.

We get to Ambers cousin (who we were there to watch him play basketball for Hartnell College in a tournament in Santa Rosa) house. Well he informs us how super scary the town is and the crime and shooting rates are ridiculous..... Could have used that info before we decided to come. Well he just says that most of the drive bys happen on the east side and we were on the west side. Okay I feel a tad better. So we went over to another players house where we were staying the night with him and his wife plus they were having a Christmas party with guys from the team. (Ps no potentials there so dont ask) anyways well while the party was going on we find out there was a shooting across the street from Ambers cousins house... awesome. 3 people were hit and one died. Then the people in the car drove of and slammed into a tree. So I would say I was a bit paranoid to say the least. But I was soooooooo tired from driving. But the party was fun. We did eggnog pong which was way fun. And a couple of the guys are suuupper funny. One guy named Ryo who is Japanese and doesnt speak English very well. But is alot better I guess. But hes so funny. Really quite but yeah says way funny things.

So yeah it was fun. Even though I was nervous for the night I fell asleep as soon as I hit the couch and slept through the night.

The next morning we headed off to Santa Rosa, which is 2.5 hours north of Salinas, with the girl (La Shana) whose house we stayed at. She actually played softball for Payson and we played each other our senior year at state. And we won and ended their year... bummer ha. But yeah she played on a couple summer teams too so that was kinda fun to find out and talk about the good ol days. The drives were way pretty too. On the way to Salinas we saw a legit farmville farm from facebook but in real life!!! It was hilarious! Miles and miles and miles of orange trees! And other trees that I could recognize cause their shapes are just alike on facebook!

So anyways Chris's basketball team lost their first game which they should have won. The other coach got kicked out though for sayin "F you " to the ref. And he said it like 3 times super loud. Way awesome. We had enought time though after the game to go to SAN FRAN! Just like 40 minutes south of where we were. So of course I had to drive. Plus it was dark out but we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge! WAY COOL. The boys were terrible back seat drivers though. Always yelling at little ol me! I missed like two exits cause I couldnt get over so I just went by them. We went to Chinatown since Chris spoke the language and plus I heart Chinese food. But I had a terrible time finding parking and I always missed opened spots and so I finally found one super close and I got a little excited and yelled "SUCK IT!" at Darrin. And then I felt better. But Then me and the parking meeter got into a fight. Apparently after 7 its free so you just need to pay for the time till 7. But I didnt know that so I kept feeding all my quarters. And the boys just thought that was hilarious that I just wasted like 2 dollars on free parking. I never heard the end of that every time I parked anywhere they brought it up. It was pretty funny but I was just fried from driving that I didnt care. We did get to go down the most crooked road in the world.. Lombard St... Look it up its pretty sweet. On the drive home the fog rolled in. Yikes when we hit Santa Rosa I couldnt see the exit! It was intense. But we made it back to the hotel and slept the night away!

The next day we slept in and got ready for the games. They won! Whoot. So that night Me Amber Chris and Chris's roommate Darrin hung out. It was way funny Amber summed it up by saying it was a date that would not end! (Even though it wasnt a date) We went to dinner at Chilies. Yum. Went back to the hotel. They call us to go to the hot tub and we go and chill. We decided to go to a movie. Invictus (GRRRRRREAAAAT MOVIE!) The boys had told us they were right behind our room at the hotel so we went over there to meet up with them. So as I always do I covered the peep hole. Well it took a long time for them to answer the door so we started pounding. Finally the door sloooowly opened.... And it wasnt the boys room... As the door opened I see this little old women with a look of terror on her poor little face!!!! AH CRAP! I was like IM SOOOO SORRY! We have the wrong room. And she was just like you scared me to death! She was a sweetheart though! But I felt sooo bad! So we went to the movies without a hitch then went back to the hotel got ready for bed. Got INTO bed. They call to go get ice cream right next door at Burger King. Heck yes Im in! We go over and inside was closed but not the drive in so we go back and get my car but I let Darrin drive cause I was sick of driving. Well of course BK ice cream machine was broken. But I really was in the mood for ice cream so I WAS GETTING IT! We couldnt find a McDonalds anywhere. We found like 3 other BKs but nope no ice cream. We went to Jack in the Box but nope no ice cream and Darrin even asked them where a McDonalds was and they were like um I dont know. So we cha cha it and found two.... one was in the WalMart by our hotel and the other just down the road of the Jack in the Box... liars. So we went to the one in Wally World. Me and Chris go in to check to see if its open. ITS OPEN! We order ice cream cones... oh wait they dont do ice cream GOLLLLL!!!! So I sulk out and we finally ended up going to the one but Jack in the Box.But I finally got my ice cream cone only after 45 minutes of driving around at 1030, and it was worth it. THEN we went to bed.

The next day we checked out. And one of Ambers friends lived in Santa Cruz so she met us in San Fran. So we actually got to visit the town in the day time. Its really neat. And SUPER different in the day time. We walked around Downtown which was intense. I never like walking were alot of people are. Amber decided that we should go up and around the block instead of going on the other side of the street.... bad idea. Since the roads are all crazy we ended up getting semi lost. Of course with all the bums and drunkies. It was intense. Dumb Amber. Never going to listen to her again. But we made it safely. Then we walked Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 49 in 30 minutes cause I had problems with the stupid meeter again. I think the guy at the store gave me a faulty dollar coin. But dont tell the boys they dont know about that. So I got all my tourist gifts I needed for the fam.

Then we drove back and watched the boys play basketball. They lost a toughie. The game ended at 6 and we took off back to Salinas. We did get to eat In n Out though... it aight....

Then I made Chris drive for awhile cause I was super tired. Good thing I did cause once we hit the awesome Highway 46 the fog rolled in again. And it was bad. So I couldnt sleep cause I was nervous. But Chris was a pro.

Then I took over four hours out of Ceder. Which was like 5 to 9 in the am. And that was tough. I managed to keep myself entertained by like making up dance moves. Lip syncin hard core to awesome songs. So once we got to Ceder Amber had to pack so I just jumped on her couch and as soon as I hit I was out! I slept for like 30 minutes. But then Amber drove the rest of the way! Which brings me here! I finally made it home.

The whole week has been quite a blur to me. Everything seems smashed up. Especially last night and this morning. I am sooo tired right now. I cant even remember what I have just typed so hopefully it makes sense. Anyways I really did have a great time. I will never forget it... hopefully.

BRRRRRRR!!!!

Well I guess you can officially say its winter time!! Its so stinkin cold! Today I was supposed to go up to Logan to get key less entry installed in my car but I decided against it with all the severe winter weather warnings and all.... But I was supposed to go to lunch with Hil Dawg so I am sad about that. But hopefully we'll go this week sometime!

Well things have been pretty busy...ish. I got to go down to St George to play in the Toys for Tots slow pitch tournament. It was really fun! Even though it was super cold! You could see your breath! You could feel your face or fingers of toes! But it was great. I did pretty good I must say. I HIT A INSIDE THE PARK HOME RUN! It was great. I love it when the outfielders play in on me! Plus it didnt hurt that the girls got to hit with a smaller ball and the fact that if the ball got by you it rolled and rolled! But whatever the case I HIT A HOME RUN! And nothing you say can make me think different! But I also hit a few triples and alot of singles. But I did suck it up during some games... so it balanced out. I did pretty decent in the field. I ended up playing first base most of the time. Could have done better but I had alot of crap thrown at me. We ended up playing 8 games! Six of them just on Saturday! I havent done that for years! We took 8th out of 80 teams! HECK YEAH! I was super surprised how good we did. Mainly it was the girls who kicked but might I add.

But the best part was that on Saturday it was my birthday.... and I didnt tell anybody who was in St George with me that it was! So I spent the whole day like any other day! Except that I kept getting Facebook alerts on my phone from people saying Happy Birthday. It was great!

Then that night I stayed in Ceder with my ol friend Amber. She was hosting a bridal shower and made brownies. So she put some candles in a piece and made all the girls sing happy b day. So dont worry, the day ended up actually being a pretty darn good day. But holy cow! I was soooooooooo soooooooooore! I still can feel it today. My quads, hammys and fore arms! I have no idea why! But I have to admit I do love the feeling of being sore. It makes me feel like Ive actually accomplished something!

Last night was my work Christmas party at the Timbermine! One word... DELICIOUS! There was a ton of food and the steak was bigger than my hand! I even took a date! Whoot! Hes a cool dude. Way funny and way nice. Actually he reminds me of my brother.. yikes thats not weird at all..... but I guess Dans a neat kid too.

Speakin of Dan.. hes in the Bahamas!! The little stinker.... He is partyin it up over there! I cant believe he will be home next August and I really cant believe well be in Jamaica in less than a year!!!!!!!!! Thats the best part.

Another thing last week pretty much finished my quilt. I got all the sewing done! Whoot... I just have to get the padding and then quilt it... the hardest part. So I dont know if Ill wait to do it and just put it in my cedar chest or what. I want to just get it finished so I can use it! But yea Im a slacker.

Anyways me, Kar, my mommy and Kelliann went to the early showing of New Moon. Which was a ma za za zing... Two words.... Jacob and rain. Thats all you need to know............... sorry I was just picturing it again. Okay moving on yeah me and Kar took pictures and we got these sweet vampire slash wolf teeth. So of course we had to do some sweet pictures....

So Ms Kristen got me addicted to this whole texture framer thing that I cant remember what its called. But yeah here are some pictures that Ive done.

Well yeah so anyways peace out! And have a safe and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
